Order Confirmation and Status
Order Confirmations are sent electronically within 24 hours to the email address you provide when you place your order.

Back Orders
If an item is on Back Order, the date it will be available
for shipment is posted on the product description page. If there are
any changes in the availability of the item once you have chosen to
purchase it, we will send you an email update. At that time, we reserve the
right to cancel the item if we can no longer get it. We also give you
the right to cancel the item should you decide not to wait any longer
to receive it.
Order Fulfillment
Unless indicated otherwise, items listed on our website are locally
inventoried and will generally be shipped to buyers in under 2 business
days from the date of order.
Satisfaction Guarantee & Return Policy
The products we show on our site are not
only double checked for quality by the vendors we work with but also
checked again by Emergent's staff in Addis Ababa and once more at our
facilities in the US as part of the order fulfilment process.
If you are not satisfied with your order for any reason, you may return
it for a full refund within 30 days of receipt. Please note that
shipping and handling fees are not refundable unless you are returning
an item because it is defective. Defective items are those which have
visible and preexisting damage (tears, cracks, extreme discolorations
and so forth). Slight imperfections such as may result from handmade
products are not considered defects. All items must be returned in the
condition you received them in and in the original packaging in order

Return Instructions
SPECIAL ORDERS and FINAL SALES are not returnable for credit or
refund. Special Order and Final Sale items are clearly noted on the
product description page. Special Orders are not cancelable and customers are required to sign (click in agreement) a Special Order Waiver specifying their understanding and agreement with these terms. For all other returns:

- - Write the Return Merchandise Authorization Number we provide on the securely packed return shipping box.
- - Arrange to ship via the appropriate method.
- - When the item is received by us, your credit card is
charged for the return shipping & any insurance. A credit (less
original shipping charges) is issued on the same credit card used for
the purchase of the item. If you are exchanging a damaged or
defective item, when it is received by us or by the supplier from whom
it was originally shipped, another (In Stock) item of the same
description is shipped to you. Should you choose to return the damaged
or defective item for credit, when it is received a credit (including
shipping charges) is issued on the same credit card used for purchase
of the item.
If you are returning an item sent in
error, we apologize for any inconvenience! Please repack the item in
its original condition and packaging. When it is received by us, a credit (including
shipping charges) is issued on your credit card. Please allow one credit card billing cycle for any credit to appear on your statement.
If any
of the above conditions are not met, MadeInEthiopia.com reserves the right to
refuse the return or charge a restocking fee of not less than 15% at

Shipping
Shipping costs and timeframes are determined primarily by the choices
you make in regards to shipping when checking out. Orders will be
shipped from our facilities within two business days of placement and a
tracking number will be emailed to give you a better idea of when you
can expect the package to be delivered. All items in one order must be
shipped to the same destination address. Generally, shipping to an
international destination should not be a problem but we will confirm
any such delivery as soon as we are able to.
Gift Wrapping
We are happy to provide optional gift wrapping services where desired. Just let us know if you will need this service during the checkout process
Sales Tax
State
Sales Tax on the merchandise total is withheld for nonfood items
shipped within the state of Virginia. You are
responsible for Sales Tax on merchandise that is shipped to states
other than Virginia in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii,
United States Territories and United States military installations.
